Clinton Training delivers the SIA approved Physical Intervention training Level 3 trainer award, the qualification needed to deliver unit 4 of the Door Supervision course and also the SIA Up skilling course.
The course enables the trainer to be competent to deliver and assess the level 2 physical intervention element of the Door Supervision course and also the SIA Up Skilling course to renew your sia licence.
The Physical Intervention Training will cover non pain compliant restraint training and disengagement physical intervention techniques which helps with challenging behaviour.
In order to complete this qualification the below assessment criteria must be achieved.
Unit 1 Physical intervention unit - Demonstration of practical skills: This element is internally assessed by the centre and quality assured by the awarding body.
Unit 2: This unit is internally set and marked and quality assured by the awarding body.
Assessment would be portfolio and observation based, an achievement record form is provided for centres to aid submission of this unit for Quality Assurance.
The learner upon successful completion of the course receives a QCF Vocational Qualification Level 3 Physical Intervention certificate, enabling them to deliver the unit 4 of Door Supervision, the Physical Intervention element and also the SIA Up Skilling course for Door Supervisors which is required to renew their SIA Door Supervision licence.
Learner Entry Requirements
Learners must have appropriate teaching qualification e.g. PTLLS or Award in Education and suitable level 3 qualification in the delivery of conflict management training.
